The Société des Amis du Musée les Mineurs Wendel

The general purpose of the Société des Amis du Musée les Mineurs Wendel, created in 2014, is to organise and support events and activities and to highlight the industrial heritage of theExplor Wendel Park. Its activities complement those of the Syndicat Mixte du Musée de la Mine.

In this regard, the Société des Amis du MuséeLes Mineurs Wendelboasts specific offers:

• The organization of cultural events with its members on the site of theExplor Wendel Park
• Supporting events organised by third parties on the site of theExplor Wendel Park, by offering personal and/or financial assistance

• In general, participating directly or indirectly in the development and influence of the Museum, in particular by contributing to the enrichment and highlighting of its collections and to the safeguarding and influence of its cultural heritage.
• The organisation of cultural outings for the benefit of its members and their families, with partial financial support from the association.

The profits from the events are used to acquire and restore objects and collection documents related to coal mining in Lorraine.
